Further to a recent meeting regarding fundraising events at the Boileroom, the co-founder Dominique Czopor plans to host a show that plays music recorded live at the venue, guest interviews with bands passing through plus forthcoming performances.... the Boilerooms approach on culture and music are akin to Kane FM’s ethos... for more information http://www.theboileroom.net/
Information on bands and gigs will be made available from this local independent music venue. The Boileroom was established by an independent collective dedicated to the promotion of the highest quality Live Music and Creative Arts.
Since opening in September 2006 the Boileroom has played host to a spectacularly wide range of events. In addition to the Boileroom’s staple of Live Music and Club Nights it’s intimate and flexible space has borne witness to Film Festivals, Jazz Workshops, Art Installations, Spoken Word and Poetry Nights, D.I.Y Music and Arts Festivals, Creative Writing Workshops.
Dominique also sits on the board for Guildford International Music Festival, of which the 10thwill be run over March 6th-20th 2009. Kane FM hopes to record / document this explosive fortnight of musical fireworks that only happens every two years. Our listeners will be able to listen live and or get information on where to go to hear amazing artists / music in their local area. The as yet untitled added extra we will be providing a line-up which will include a melting pot of hotly tipped and breaking new artists alongside established International and seminal greats.
The festival will also include an extensive daytime arts programme including acoustic sessions, live showcases from unsigned local bands, pop quizzes, spoken word, poetry and performance art, dance, film screenings, exhibitions and much much more,
